KLAS: Best in KLAS

KLAS, founded in 1996, is a research and consulting firm specializing in monitoring and reporting the performance of Healthcare's Information Technology (HIT) vendors. In the Top 20 Year-end Best in KLAS report for 2007, Orchard Software scored the highest of all LIS vendors featured and ranked the #1 LIS vendor in the Community Hospital Clinical and Ancillary Solutions category with an overall score of 89.77 out of 100. In addition, Orchard had a positive commentary at 91%, well above the KLAS HIT average of 63% positive commentary.
Orchard consistently leads the LIS industry with the highest survey results in the primary, detail, and business indicators categories. The primary indicators category measures meeting expectations; proactive service; money’s worth; and commitment to technology, quality of training, implementation and support. In December 2007, Orchard’s score in the primary indicators category was 8.09 out of 9.0 (6.95 average for competitors). The detail indicators category measures quality of product, staff, documentation, updates, interfaces support, and ease of use. In December, Orchard’s score in the detail indicators category was 8.05 out of 9.0 (7.04 average for competitors). The business indicators category measures pricing, willingness to buy again, and willingness to recommend. Orchard’s score in the business indicators category in December was 97% out of 100 (77% average for competitors).
In April 2006, KLAS published their biennial Comprehensive Laboratory Information System Study where ten LIS vendors were evaluated. After two years of very strong growth, Orchard continued to lead the pack in 2006! Since Orchard was first included in KLAS research, Orchard has consistently maintained its high performance leading to consistently high scores. To quote KLAS from the 2006 LIS study, “Orchard Harvest LIS outscored the field with a score of 90, which is excellent scoring. Orchard maintained its high score of 90.0 from July 2004, something KLAS rarely sees.”

Advance for Administrators of the Laboratory: Top of the Class
Orchard Software has also been recognized by readers of Advance for Administrators of the Laboratory (http://laboratory-manager.advanceweb.com/main.aspx). For five years in-a-row, Orchard Software was ranked as the “Top of the Class” vendor for laboratory information systems.

Orchard Software received the award for "Best Application" in 2007 by 4D, Inc. US. This award recognized Orchard for its number of users and for being a leader in the laboratory systems industry.
Orchard at Top of Lab Economics' Web Vendor Survey
The Harvest Webstation users polled for Lab Economics gave Orchard the highest combined rating based on their satisfaction with support for their web product and their willingness to buy again from their vendor, which put Orchard at the top of the web vendor survey.

Frost & Sullivan: Customer Value Enhancement (CVE) Award
Frost & Sullivan presented Orchard Software its 2005 Customer Value Enhancement (CVE) Award for the laboratory information systems (LIS) industry "in recognition of its customer initiatives that have enabled the company to generate the highest satisfaction rates in the industry."
According to Frost & Sullivan, "Some of the most important factors in an LIS purchase decision are customizability, flexibility, and the manufacturer's ability to provide superior customer service. Orchard has differentiated itself though unparalleled product development and customer support, and its Orchard Harvest LIS stands far above competing products."
Frost & Sullivan presents its CVE Award each year to a company that has demonstrated the ability to expand its customer base, while maintaining its existing install base, with more innovative value creation and enhancement strategies than competing vendors. The Award acknowledges successful sales entry, customer acquisition and service strategies, and the degree to which these strategies have met the customers' stated needs and requirements.
