Orchard Software is #1 in the Top 20 Year-end Best in KLAS survey!
In the Top 20 Year-end Best in KLAS report for 2009, Orchard Software was ranked the #1 LIS vendor in the Community Hospital and Ambulatory Solutions categories.
Orchard received an overall score or 93.24 out of 100 (higher than last year’s score of 92.22) in the Community Hospital category and 91.18 out of 100 (higher than last year’s score of 90.80) in the Ambulatory Solutions category. Again, as last year, no other vendor listed in the survey received an overall score above 90. Orchard’s next highest LIS competitor had an overall score of 88.26.
Overall, KLAS rated over 750 products from over 200 companies, and of all products rated, only four had a higher overall score (94.30, 94.25, 93.93, and 93.33) than Orchard’s overall score of 93.24. For the Product Quality Rating score, only two other products had a higher PQR score (8.66 and 8.58) than Orchard’s PQR score of 8.57.

Year-end KLAS Survey Results
Orchard consistently leads the LIS industry with the highest survey results in the primary, detail, and business indicators categories. The primary indicators category measures meeting expectations; proactive service; money’s worth; and commitment to technology, quality of training, implementation and support.
In December 2009, Orchard’s score in the primary indicators category was 8.15 out of 9.0 (6.90 average for competitors). The detail indicators category measures quality of product, staff, documentation, updates, interfaces support, and ease of use. In December, Orchard’s score in the detail indicators category was 8.20 out of 9.0 (6.38 average for competitors). The business indicators category measures pricing, willingness to buy again, and willingness to recommend. Orchard’s score in the business indicators category in December was 94% out of 100 (73% average for competitors).

Laboratory Information Systems Performance/Perceptions Report
In December 2008, KLAS published their biennial Comprehensive Laboratory Information System Study where 10 LIS vendors were evaluated. Orchard continued to lead the pack in 2008! Since Orchard was first included in KLAS research, Orchard has consistently maintained its high performance, leading to consistently high scores.
To quote KLAS from the 2008 LIS study, “Product quality, development, customer service, and implementations are all seen as a significant strengths. It is exciting to see a vendor doing so many things this well. From the beginning, a lot of people have had a wow experience with Orchard. Their training is a wow. The installer is a wow. Advance for Administrators of the Laboratory: Top of the Class
Orchard Software has also been recognized by readers of Advance for Administrators of the Laboratory (http://laboratory-manager.advanceweb.com/main.aspx). For many years in a row, the readers of Advance for Administrators of the Laboratory voted Orchard Software the Top of the Class in the Laboratory Systems category.
Some of the reasons noted were: excellent technical and customer service, the system is user friendly and easily adaptable, the system is continually updated to serve the changing needs of the laboratory, customizable for any type of laboratory, flexible and inexpensive, easy to maneuver, excellent tech service department, open lines of communication, and responsiveness.
Orchard at Top of Lab Economics' Web Vendor Survey
Users with an Orchard web-connectivity system were polled for Lab Economics, and in 2006 & 2007, gave Orchard the highest combined rating based on their satisfaction with support for their Orchard web product and their willingness to buy again, which put Orchard at the top of the web vendor survey.

Frost & Sullivan: Customer Value Enhancement (CVE) Award
Frost & Sullivan presented Orchard Software its 2005 Customer Value Enhancement (CVE) Award for the laboratory information systems (LIS) industry "in recognition of its customer initiatives that have enabled the company to generate the highest satisfaction rates in the industry."
According to Frost & Sullivan, "Some of the most important factors in an LIS purchase decision are customizability, flexibility, and the manufacturer's ability to provide superior customer service. Orchard has differentiated itself though unparalleled product development and customer support, and its Orchard Harvest LIS stands far above competing products."
Frost & Sullivan presents its CVE Award each year to a company that has demonstrated the ability to expand its customer base, while maintaining its existing install base, with more innovative value creation and enhancement strategies than competing vendors. The Award acknowledges successful sales entry, customer acquisition and service strategies, and the degree to which these strategies have met the customers' stated needs and requirements.
