Rob Bush, President  

Rob Bush, President

As Founder and President of Orchard Software, Rob Bush is the leader and visionary for the company and focuses much of this time on new markets and product development. Prior to founding Orchard Software, Rob was the President of a medical billing software company. He began his career as a Financial Analyst for Eli Lilly and Co., monitoring foreign affiliate activity.

Rob majored in Physics and Finance, first at the University of Colorado and then at Indiana University. He received his MBA in Finance from Carnegie Mellon University.

     
Jeff Kain, Executive Vice President  

Jeffrey Kain, Executive Vice President

Jeffrey Kain, Executive Vice President, is a cofounder of Orchard Software Corporation and is the original author of Orchard Harvest LIS, Orchard’s award-winning laboratory information system. He currently oversees Orchard's Research and Development group, focused on new technology and new product initiatives.

Jeffrey received his Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Indiana University.

     
Curt Johnson, Chief Operating Officer  

Curt Johnson, Chief Operating Officer

As the second official employee, Curt was hired in 1995, crisscrossing the country selling systems as the only sales rep. During his years as the Vice President of Sales and Marketing, Curt Johnson expanded the sales and marketing department to over 30 employees, and he oversaw outside sales, national account sales, marketing, and account management. In his current position of Chief Operating Officer, Curt focuses on coordination and efficiencies among all of Orchard's departments to ensure that growth is focused and meeting the needs of Orchard customers. Before joining Orchard Software, Curt was a Clinical Chemistry Specialist for Abbott Laboratories Diagnostic Division.

Curt received his Bachelor of Science in Marketing and Sales in 1988 from the University of Akron in Ohio.

     
Henry Oglesby, Vice President of Operations  

Henry Oglesby, Vice President of Operations

As the first official employee in 1994, Henry Oglesby was the sole employee responsible for all installation and support. Since then, as the Vice President of Operations, Henry manages a team of nearly 80 who are responsible for the installation, integration, and support of all of Orchard Software’s products. Prior to coming to Orchard, Henry worked at the American Monitor Corporation for ten years in a variety of roles in support, development, and regulatory affairs.

Henry received his Bachelor of Science in Education from Indiana University. In addition, Henry is a Microsoft MCP and has extensive experience in a variety of operating systems.

     
Debbie Schilling, Director of Software Engineering  

Debbie Schilling, Vice President of Development

Debbie joined Orchard Software in 1998 as a Harvest LIS developer.  Prior to Orchard, she had 15 years of experience developing banking, insurance, and pharmaceutical software applications. As Vice President of Development, she oversees developers, testers, and documentation specialists, and works closely with customers, Sales, and Operations to produce Orchard’s laboratory information systems.

Debbie received her Bachelor of Arts in Computer Science at Macalester College in St. Paul, Minnesota.

     
Keith McKinney, Director of Sales  

Keith McKinney, Director of Sales

Keith joined Orchard in 1998, and sold Orchard systems throughout the central United States until 2009, when he was promoted to Senior Marketing Product Manager. In March 2011, Keith became the Director of Sales for Orchard. In this position, Keith is responsible for overseeing the sales of Orchard’s lab information systems.

Keith is a certified Medical Technologist (ASCP) with 10 years of laboratory experience, as well as 10 years of experience in clinical diagnostic instrumentation sales and customer support.

     
Cathy Beadle, Corporate Controller  

Cathy Beadle, Corporate Controller

Cathy joined Orchard Software as a Senior Financial Analyst in 2005. In 2006, she was promoted to Finance Director, and in 2007, Cathy became the Corporate Controller. Prior to coming to Orchard Software, she worked in the automobile racing industry as the Director of Finance for a racing team, and spent several years in public accounting. Cathy is responsible for all aspects of the accounting department.

Cathy is a CPA with more than 20 years' experience with privately held businesses.
     
Kerry Foster, Director of Marketing  

Kerry Foster, Director of Marketing

Kerry joined Orchard Software in September 2002 to manage the marketing, promotion, and branding strategies of Orchard Software. Kerry is responsible for the development, planning, and execution of advertising, direct mail, trade shows, public relations, website, and collateral.

He has more than 25 years of sales and marketing management experience and has worked for, and consulted with, a variety of companies from numerous industries.

     
Michael D. Glant, M.D., Medical Director  

Michael D. Glant, M.D., Medical Director

Michael Glant, M.D., is the newest member of Orchard Software’s team as Medical Director, joining Orchard on July 5, 2011. Dr. Glant works closely with operations, product development, sales, and marketing. With his assistance, Orchard will maintain its leading edge in laboratory software development and enhance installation, integration, service, and support capabilities. Dr. Glant was previously the founder of, and a pathologist at, the second independent fine needle aspiration (FNA) clinic in the US, Diagnostic Cytology Laboratories, Inc., in Zionsville, Indiana. 

Dr. Glant received his undergraduate and medical degrees from Indiana University (1969-76) and was accepted in the Otolaryngology Residency at Indiana University Medical Center. Thereafter, Dr. Glant decided to go into pathology. During his pathology residency, he gained a strong interest in teaching and cytopathology, especially with the newly published reports about FNA, and became the Director of Cytopathology at IUMC. In 1984, Dr. Glant began working outside IUMC and founded the second independent FNA clinic in the United States, Diagnostic Cytology Laboratories, Inc. While at DCL, Dr. Glant created one of the first, if not the first, AP Systems designed with discrete data and synoptic reporting capabilities. From 1987 to 1993, he was a committee member of the Cytopathology Council Commission on Continuing Education, American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP), which initiated a vigorous lecture and publication period with over 250 invited lectures and several book chapters. Over the years, Dr. Glant has collected and diagnosed over 20,000 FNA cases using his approach for high diagnostic yield.
