KLAS Ranking—Orchard Harvest LIS—The highest scoring LIS!
Orchard Software is #1 in the Top 20 Year-end Best in KLAS survey!
In the Top 20 Year-end Best in KLAS report for 2012, Orchard Software was ranked the #1 LIS vendor in the Community (200 beds and smaller) and Ambulatory Laboratory categories. Orchard received an overall score of 91.9 out of 100 in the Ambulatory category. In the Community Category, Orchard received a score of 90.2 out of 100. Again, as last year, no other vendor listed in the survey received an overall score above 90. Orchard’s next highest LIS competitor had an overall score of 82.0 in the Community category and an 86.0 in the Ambulatory category. In the Overall Laboratory category (facilities over 200 beds), Harvest LIS was rated an impressive 81.1. In the Community and Ambulatory categories, Orchard’s Product Quality Rating (PQR) score of 8.5 was higher than any other vendors.
Overall, KLAS rated over 750 products from over 200 companies and has been compiling data on laboratory products, including software, since 1996.

Year-end KLAS Survey Results
Orchard consistently leads the LIS industry with the highest survey results in the sales and contracting, functionality and upgrades, service and support, and general categories. The sales and contracting category measures overall contracting experience, avoidance of nickel and diming, and that the product works as promoted. In December of 2012, Orchard's score in the sales and contracting category was 89.5 out of 100. The functionality and upgrades category measures overall product quality, ease of use, and whether the product has needed functionality. In December 2012, Orchard’s score in the functionality and upgrades category was 91.5 out of 100. The service and support category measures quality of phone/web support, proactive service, and whether the vendor maintains promised service quality. In December, Orchard’s score in the service and support category was 90.2 out of 100. The general category measures overall satisfaction, overall communication, and would a client buy the product again. Orchard’s score in the general category in December was 89.28 out of 100.
Laboratory Information Systems Performance/Perceptions Report
In the past, KLAS published a biennial Comprehensive Laboratory Information System Study where LIS vendors were evaluated. The most recent study was published in 2008, where Orchard continued to lead the pack! Since Orchard was first included in KLAS research, Orchard has consistently maintained its high performance, leading to consistently high scores.
