the right order goes to the right laboratory. Copia’s test code management
ensures that location-dependent test codes are always correct.
Flow of Data
The successful integration of a lab network is based on the accurate
transmission and dissemination of data and tests. The translation,
coding, and routing engine in Copia enables the flow of data between
unique systems, and ensures the delivery of orders to the appropriate
lab.
Routing Factors
Multiple lab locations may be dedicated to specific procedures,
and some specialized testing may be forwarded to reference labs.
Insurance contracts may specify other testing locations. Making
sure orders are designated and delivered to the correct lab location
is complex, and errors cost time and reimbursements.
Rules-based Navigation
At the point of order entry, Copia's rules-based navigation system
monitors insurance, draw location, provider preferences, stat work,
and lab availability to accurately and automatically route orders
to each specified lab.
