System Security
Using Security Groups, system administrators can restrict access to patient results and limit user access to match job requirements in Harvest LIS and Harvest Webstation. Line-item assignment of security options allows you to create as many security groups as you need.
Flexible Password Security Options
Because user passwords are often a security concern, system administrators can configure the system to expire passwords automatically, as well as use password
content rules to require that users select secure passwords with various character combinations and case sizes. In addition, administrators can configure system security to lock user accounts after a specified
number of unsuccessful sign-in attempts.
Track User Actions to Ensure Appropriate System and Data Access
Harvest LIS also tracks user actions within the system, including successful sign-ins, unsuccessful sign-in attempts, and attempts to access patient data via the patient file or data browsers.
Extensive Audit Trail of Changes to the Database
The Change Log records key changes to the database and provides a complete audit trail. Harvest LIS stores alterations of patient demographics, orders, and database tables in an easily accessible format that is both searchable and printable.
Internet Security through Secure Socket Layers (SSL)
If you plan to have web users access Harvest LIS from the Internet using Harvest Webstation or Orchard Copia, then you should use SSL, the industry standard for encrypting sensitive data. You may also configure the web server to only accept secured connections.
Streamline Password Maintenance with LDAP Authentication
Harvest LIS has the ability to utilize Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP) Authentication through facility domain controllers. This technology further secures the Harvest LIS application within your facility and provides your IT staff with the ability to easily maintain security levels and passwords for your personnel.
