Orchard Software User Training
“I attend the Advanced User Training yearly and find it very beneficial for several reasons. Orchard usually has a new software
version yearly, so this gives the super user the opportunity to learn the new version before going live. I usually will go to class to learn about the new version then come back to work and install it. We are also on the Gold plan to include attending
training class yearly. As a super user you probably have other duties besides this task and going to the class gives you the opportunity to learn so many features to the software and interact |
We know that the better trained you are on your lab system, the more you can take advantage of each of the features to help your laboratory be more productive and efficient. To maximize your understanding and the use of the many features and rules-based technology, Orchard offers various training options.
For basic training and easy access, Orchard’s online tutorials via the Internet touch on six key areas of the software. For more in depth training, we offer four different week-long training classes held multiple times throughout the year at our headquarters in Carmel, Indiana.
Online Tutorials
Orchard’s online tutorials offer web-based training sessions to augment our hands-on training classes at our corporate offices. By the end of each session (averaging 45 minutes), users should gain sufficient familiarity to more effectively execute the functions presented. Some of the session topics include: Introduction to Orchard® Harvest™ LIS, Ordering Patient Samples, Reviewing Results, Releasing Stored Orders, Quality Control, Rules, and Data Browsers. Visit the Online Tutorials page for more information on these sessions, dates and times, or to sign up for one of the courses. These online sessions are currently offered at no charge to our customers with a current support contract.
Week-long Intensive Courses
Our week-long in-depth training courses are held in the Training Center at Orchard Software's corporate facility, located north of Indianapolis in Carmel, Indiana. These courses give you hands-on experience with the latest new features and help you get more from existing features, maximizing your efficiency with tips and shortcuts. Three of these classes are even accredited through the ASCLS P.A.C.E.® program. In addition, you will be able to exchange ideas with other users, as well as experienced Orchard employees. Visit the Week-long Courses page for more information on these sessions, dates and times, or to sign up for one of the courses.
