Prerequisites
The Harvest LIS Advanced User training course is considered an advanced level class. Prior knowledge of Harvest LIS is required.
Course Description
This course teaches you about the latest features in the program,
about maintaining your Harvest LIS, and about the optional
modules you may add to enhance your system. Throughout the course,
you will also learn tips and tricks on using existing Harvest LIS
features more efficiently.
- Learn the newest features of the most current Harvest LIS version to determine the best use for them in your lab.
- Try out Harvest LIS modules, such as Harvest Webstation and Microbiology. See how these features can improve efficiency in your lab.
- Review security functions and explore enhancements designed to assist you in maintaining compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Interact with other users and learn how other labs uniquely integrate Harvest LIS features.
- Receive hands-on experience using the database management and maintenance tools for backing up your database and troubleshooting problems.
- Cover the various options for technical support, including learning more about the Orchard website and online forums.
- Meet with Orchard associates from Technical Support, Operations, Development, and Marketing to learn more about the latest projects.
Outside the classroom, you will have some time to enjoy the restaurants, shopping, and attractions in the Indianapolis area.
Methods of Instruction
The Harvest LIS Advanced User training course utilizes a combination of classroom presentations, laboratory exercises, quizzes, and troubleshooting scenarios.
