For those who wish to solve the puzzle with minimal help, we provided three very basic instructions and helpful hints on the side of the puzzle box. For those who prefer more help, this webpage provides additional hints and more detailed instructions to aid you in the successful assembly of your Orchard 3D apple puzzle. |

Hint #2
There are 44 total pieces, including:
- Two sets of 21 matching pieces
- One green stem/leaf
- One center post
It is best to build the two halves of the apple by using the two sets of 21 pieces:
- Organize the 21 matching pieces into pairs.
- Locate the two “outside” pieces, the two matching pieces with white type—one piece with “Orchard Software Bringing Diagnostic Information Together,” and the other with “Orchard Software Your Strategic Partner in Lab Informatics.”
- Starting with these two pieces, add pieces that fit.
The challenge begins here. Notice the curve and shape of the apple as you add pieces. Match the curve and the shape to find the next piece. Remember, you are building two halves—each half is assembled the same way with one of each of the 21 pieces.

Detailed Assembly Instructions
- Use the diagram below to match each piece.
- Lay them out in the order outlined by the diagram to create two sets of 21 pieces each.
- Begin with the “outside pieces” (with the white type), labeled #1 in the diagram.
- Then, add piece #2 to it, followed by piece #3 and so on. Repeat for each half until you have two completed halves with only the stem/leaf and the center post remaining.
- Next, place one half in your hand and lay the stem into the slot at the top.
- While keeping the stem in the slot, grab the second half and bring the two halves together.
- Finally, once the two halves are secured together, insert the center post (slotted end first) into the hole at the center of the apple, pushing it all the way through to the other end.
