Watch: POCT Coordination: Managing Your Sanity as Your Program Expands—December 3, 2019
Presented by: James H. Nichols, PhD
December 3, 2019 | 12:00 PM ET |
Point-of-care-testing (POCT) is a rapidly expanding means of delivering laboratory testing closer to the patient. POCT offers faster turnaround of results with the potential for improved patient care. However, quality concerns, meeting laboratory regulations, and maintaining clinical staff competencies have challenged POCT programs. With additional requests for POCT services, programs struggle to maintain quality in an ever-expanding environment. This session will explore the challenges faced by current POCT programs and will offer tips to better manage your program and your sanity.
