As part of Orchard Software’s first in-house service day in November 2019, Orchard employees volunteered to knit scarves for Special Olympics Indiana.
The Scarf Project & Polar Plunge
The Scarf Project celebrates Special Olympics Indiana’s signature fundraiser, the Polar Plunge. These scarves will be given to athletes, coaches, volunteers, and supporters at the 2020 Winter Games and at Polar Plunge events across the state.
“Freezing” for a Good Cause
Polar Plunge participants raise funds by pledging to jump into a freezing pool or natural body of water in the middle of winter. More than 3,000 plungers raised nearly $900,000 in 2019. Orchard collected nine scarves in January to donate to the project. The 2020 colors are green, navy, and white.
