Purdue’s ADDL Attained CLIA Certification for COVID-19 Testing
The Animal Disease Diagnostic Laboratory (ADDL), part of the Purdue University College of Veterinary Medicine, worked with Orchard to implement COVID-19 testing for human patients. The ADDL received CLIA certification to conduct human diagnostic testing, then worked with Orchard for connectivity and molecular testing tools.
Orchard Molecular Enables Rapid COVID-19 Reporting
The Orchard Molecular solution helped the laboratory achieve quick turnaround times, with results available to the caregiver within 24 hours of collection. Rapid result reporting enabled Purdue University to perform near real-time surveillance and contact tracing and to effectively quarantine infected individuals to mitigate spread of the virus.
