As we have for many years, Orchard continues to support Special Olympics Indiana. Orchard employees participated in the annual Plane Pull event — in which teams go head-to-head with a Boeing FedEx 757 jetliner in an epic game of tug-of-war. The 2023 Plane Pull event raised more than $10,000 for the athletes of Special Olympics Indiana.
Though this year’s event was delayed by an hour due to rain, it saw a great turnout of Orchard employees and their families. The Indiana Pacemates (cheerleaders for the Indiana Pacers basketball team) made a special appearance to cheer on the participating teams. As always, there were several food vendors and a DJ at the event, and Orchard’s “Harvesters & Haulers” team made a valiant effort in the Plane Pull challenge. Orchard was also represented by Jacob Carlisle and Sean Millard in the “Hot Shots” basketball challenge.
Orchard’s team (and our cheering section) had a wonderful time at this year’s event, and as always, we enjoyed supporting Special Olympics Indiana. We look forward to participating in its events for many years to come.
