Orchard Software is a Top Workplace Again!
For the third year in a row and fourth time overall since 2010, Orchard Software was named to the Indianapolis Star’s Top Workplaces list for 2014. We are proud to announce Orchard was ranked ninth for the mid-size company category as a top place to work, joining the ranks of very prestigious companies around the Indianapolis area.
In addition to an overall rank, there are additional categories and special awards for 2014. These include awards for areas such as Leadership, Managers, New Ideas, Doers, Meaningfulness, and several others. Orchard Software won the special award over all companies in all categories for Managers. The criteria they used were “My manager helps me learn and grow. My manager makes it easier to do my job well. My manager cares about my concerns.”
The survey asked over 40,000 employees from 122 companies in central Indiana to rate their employers in various categories. Nearly 26,000 responded to the 20 survey questions covering such areas as company values, leadership, management, benefits, pay, growth opportunities, appreciation, retention, and work/life balance. Each year, the Indianapolis Star sponsors the survey conducted by Workplace Dynamics. See the entire list of Central Indiana’s Top Workplaces for 2014.
Orchard is excited to again be recognized as a “Top Workplace” in central Indiana. Curt Johnson, Chief Operating Officer of Orchard Software, said, “We are proud to announce that once again Orchard Software has made the list coming in ranked ninth for mid-sized companies out of 38. More importantly than the number nine ranking are a couple of terrific accomplishments. First, our overall scores in 2014 improved over 2013. This is important since it is always best to measure your progress again yourself. This improvement is a testament to each of you and all you do to make Orchard such a great place to be.”
Curt continues, “As with any company, our employees are the organization. Orchard Software has been ranked by KLAS as the leading LIS vendor in the healthcare industry, and it is our employees that deliver the products, service, and support to be honored with this high ranking. We want to thank our employees for everything they do, but we could not accomplish our success without our customers, as they are part of the Orchard organization. Our relationship with our customers is a big reason why it is a pleasure to be an Orchard employee. We thank our customers for their continued support.”
